Ms Ursula Schneider has been working at Akotherm since 1970, and has been a contact person for the area of order handling for decades. Almost every customer knows Ms Schneider from numerous telephone calls, but many don’t know who is behind the helpful voice.
U.S.: I find the intensive customer contact very interesting. They make the work very varied. There are the most diverse questions and problems, to which you compile answers and assistance. However, it is always particularly nice to hear when everything works, and the other party is satisfied.
But even within the company, I would describe my role as very diverse. At my work place many threads come together, so to speak, it is interdepartmental. Order handling means contact and close cooperation with many departments – from purchasing to accounting, everyone is involved, everything has to be coordinated.
Int.: Why do you still feel so comfortable in this company after so many years?
U.S.: In short, the work is still fun. The whole package is just right: my role completely fulfils me, the general work climate is really good, and the cooperation with colleagues is uncomplicated and even friendships have formed for the most part. In addition, I have been with the company right from the start, and have spent many years of my life here. Look – we are talking about 44 years now! Of course, some things have changed over the course of time, everything has got bigger and grown. But the basic attitude, the philosophy has remained. I find that extremely important. I am still pleased, and a little bit proud to be part of such a great team.
