The established AT 740 SI series was put through its paces by the North Rhine-Westphalia Materials Testing Office (MPA NRW). One of the test criteria was the endurance test with one million opening cycles.
“The intensive test procedure proved that our door system is extremely robust and resilient,” says Jürgen Aschkowski, head of application technology. “This means that the AT740SI is currently classified in the highest performance class: Stress class 8 according to the test standard EN 12400. “Door elements of the AT740SI series are therefore particularly recommended for use in heavily frequented entrance areas of public facilities and healthcare buildings, e.g. in airport buildings, schools, kindergartens or hospitals. The aluminum roller conveyor was also tested by the MPA NRW with one million cycles and was convincing. “We have always placed great value on the quality and consistency of our products. All components of the Akotherm doors – such as profiles, seals, connectors, locks and hinges – function as a perfect unit. On the one hand, this reduces the maintenance work required to maintain the function to a minimum. On the other hand, the issue of “product longevity” is also in the foreground: “For us, it is inextricably linked to the basic idea of sustainable construction and sustainable materials management,” adds Aschkowski.
