17.11.2010 - Akotherm presents barrier-free French door system for more comfort at home

At the BAU 2011 in Munich, the Bendorf (between Cologne and Frankfurt) based aluminium profile system manufacturer Akotherm GmbH (Ltd.) will be presenting a most impressive service spectrum for windows, doors, façades and winter gardens. Strictly application-orientated, ‘putting practice into practice’ Akotherm will be introducing further improvements for window systems. Accessibility is the main theme of one of the newest solutions.

“With our new window system AT 740 SI we’re also offering our system partners the chance to build barrier-free, walk-through openings,” according to the system developers. In Akotherm’s opinion there is a growing market for barrier-free building and refurbishment projects. “Even in private living areas, more importance is being attached to accessibility. Hence the market no longer consists mainly of public and commercial projects, but is also expanding constantly into the private sector.”

Akotherm’s experts have established that accessibility is an important comfort and convenience feature these days. “Barrier-free constructions are part of the modern trend to create more-open living areas and to merge these together. For example, a smooth way from the living room into the winter garden, or onto to balcony or the terrace without annoying ‘trip-over’ thresholds is much more pleasant – and windows down to the floor also allow light to flood in delightfully. Even wider doors and other transits become far more comfortable and contribute to a higher living standard. And, last but not least, the more comfortable and modern a place is, the higher the resale value.”

“With the new window system AT 740 SI, suitable for the implementation of barrier-free solutions, our partners can offer and make trend-orientated windows with a creative contemporary design. Once again our customers can profit from a new system development with practical advantages, not only from the manufacturing point of view, but also from an exciting sales text and the offer. We handle these factors with the highest priority,” says Mr. Frank Schneider, the managing director of Akotherm, who would be more than happy to introduce you, at the BAU 2011 in Hall C1, Stand 518, to the new practice-orientated Akotherm developments.
